To examine the cutting equipment for wear

Do a check of the saw chain daily.

  1. Make sure that there are no cracks in rivets and links. Replace if necessary.
  2. Examine if the saw chain is rigid. Replace if necessary.
  3. Compare the saw chain with a new saw chain to examine if the rivets and links are worn. Replace the saw chain when the length of the cutting teeth has worn down to 4 mm/ 0.16 in.
