To make the directional cuts
-
Make the directional cuts. Run the directional cuts 1/4 of the diameter of the tree. Make a 45° angle between the top cut and bottom cut.
-
Make the top cut first. Align the felling direction mark (A) of the product with the felling direction of the tree (B). Stay behind the product and keep the tree on your right side. Cut with a pull stroke.
-
Make the bottom cut. Make sure that the end of the bottom cut is at the same point as the end of the top cut.
-
Make sure that the directional cut line is perfectly horizontal and at right angles (90°) to the felling direction. The directional cut line goes through the point where the two directional cuts touch.
